Property Awards Success for city firms

A number of Cardiff & Co’s investors and Ambassadors swept the board at the Insider Wales Property Awards in Cardiff last night. Leading the way was John Smart of property developers JR Smart who won Property Personality of the Year after he speculatively built and let his Capital Link property to Peacocks.

Category winners were St David’s Partnership for their regeneration of Cardiff city centre and the uplifting of Cardiff to 6th in the retail rankings; Igloo for securing the BBC for Roath basin; UWIC School of Management ‘s design was recognised as Austin-Smith:Lord won the architectural practice award, lawyers Hugh James for their dynamic practice reflected in £1bn of transactions including Ffos Racecourse and Barry Waterfront; WCR Property for 5B Caerphilly Business Park and its rainwater harvesting scheme; King Sturge for agency team of the year.
