Firebreak lockdown – Coronavirus business support
The First Minister for Wales has announced that the existing Economic Resiliance Fund for businesses will be enhanced to support businesses affected b the firebreak lockdown.
In summary, the funding will provide:
- Businesses who occupy a property with a rateable value of £12,001 or less will be eligible for a £1,000 payment;
- Retail, leisure and hospitality businesses who have been forced to close during the firebreak lockdown period occupying a property with a rateable value between £12,001 and £51,000, will be eligible for a £5,000 payment;
- A discretionary £1,000 grant will be made available to businesses on the same basis where they are materially affected by local lockdown measures for 21 days or more prior to the start of the firebreak lockdown period;
