Invest in Cardiff attend UKREiiF

This week, the Invest in Cardiff team will be joining the Cardiff Capital Region and the Western Gateway at UKREiiF, The UK’s Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum.

The annual forum connects people, places and businesses to accelerate and unlock sustainable, inclusive and transformation investment  It specifically attracts the public sector, with every core UK city and region involved, alongside Government, investors, funders, developers, housebuilders and more.

The collaboration with the Cardiff Capital Region and the Western Gateway will promote the opportunity to attract investment and showcase the huge opportunities across our area and specifically focus on why we believe we can be the UK’s Green Energy Powerhouse.

One key area of discussion will be the UK’s first cross border Hydrogen Ecosystem, an independent commission to explore sustainable energy in the Severn Estuary and nationally significant supply chain strengths in nuclear and floating offshore wind power, where the Western Gateway has a huge opportunity to become the UK’s Green Energy powerhouse. During these discussions, we’ll be finding out why our innovative and skilled communities are ready to power the UK’s journey to Net Zero, something Cardiff and the City Region equally have a vested interest in.

By attending UKREiiF, we want to promote and drive the transition to net zero, increases productivity and supports the creation of good quality jobs for our communities to deliver a greener, fairer future for all. UKREiiF will provide the opportunity to engage in discussions and promotional opportunities to promote these goals for the Western Gateway and subsequently Cardiff and the surrounding region.
